Samsung Galaxy Note7 recalled for safety concerns

Samsung Galaxy Note7 devices are reported frequently to be overheating and melting and sometimes catching on fire. Such a fire may harm you or someone else or cause damage.

Samsung has now issued a full recall in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product and Safety Commission (CPSC). It is offering refunds, exchanges, and other incentives and has discontinued manufacturing the Galaxy Note7.

Samsung indicates that it is NOT OK to continue using your Galaxy Note7 due to safety concerns.

Samsung recommends that consumers with a Galaxy Note7 power it down immediately and contact the carrier or retail outlet where they purchased the device.  Samsung will send a specially designed return kit to consumers who purchased their Note7 from Samsung's website.

The recall notice is available online.
