Formal Report Resolution

If the reporting party requests or if circumstances require, a report of harassment or discrimination may be investigated and resolved formally. Reporting parties must make a report with the OEEO within 300 calendar days of the most recent occurrence of the harassing or discriminatory behavior specifying the incident(s) of harassment or discrimination. The report should be signed by the reporting party.

A formal report resolution would be a recommendation of appropriate disciplinary action.

Informal Report Resolution

If the reporting party requests or if circumstances require, a report of harassment or discrimination may be investigated and resolved informally. Examples of an informal report resolution procedure may include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Communication by the reporting party to the offender in person or writing;
  • Counseling or talking with a third party;
  • Alternative dispute resolution; and/or
  • Harassment/Discrimination training
