Roscoe Wilson: HACKED. Art About or Achieved by Re-Use

Green vinyl adirondack chair minus a leg. Missing leg is replaced with pieces of recycled wood, making chair once again functional.

Manifest Gallery notes that "For this exhibit 65 artists from 26 states, Canada, Denmark, England, and Taiwan submitted 175 works for consideration." Roscoe Wilson is one of only 16 artists whose work was chosen for the HACKED Art About or Achieved by Re-Use exhibit at the Cincinnati gallery. Manifest challenged artists to "submit works of visual art which somehow, in some way, represent or are realized as hacked." See top photo for an example of Wilson's work in this exhibit.

The exhibits are on view at Manifest Gallery, 2727 Woodburn Ave., Cincinnati from July 13-August 10, 2018. Map.
