What is Marketing Management Technology?

Marketing Management Technology prepares students for marketing needs of business and other organizations in customer service, sales, advertising, and promotion.

What are the features of Miami’s program?

The Department of Commerce offers a number of scholarships. These scholarships are available for those students who have declared one of the Commerce Associate or Bachelor degrees as their major.

What courses would I take?

Students complete a broad array of business courses including marketing, management, and business law, all designed to offer a solid foundation for future study. Within the major, students complete courses that focus on sales, customer service, and consumer behavior.

What can I do with this major?

Typical job titles include customer service representative, salesperson, store manager, sales manager, merchandise manager, marketing support technician, advertising specialist, sales analyst, and sales promotion coordinator. Graduates can also continue their studies on Miami University's regional campuses in the Bachelor of Science in Commerce program. Students intending to pursue the Miami Bachelor of Integrative Studies (BIS) degree with a primary concentration in Organizational Leadership or Cross Cultural Leadership should consult your BTE Faculty advisor to maximize progress toward the BIS degree while completing the BTE associate degree.

BTE courses do not satisfy any Farmer School of Business Bachelor degree course requirements and a maximum of 12 credit hours of BTE may be applied.
