Dr. Bernard F. Phelps was named Campus Director effective September 1

1968

Department of Nursing established

Homer Gard Memorial Scholarship Awarded

September 9: First day of classes

1972

First Associate Degree Nursing class graduates

Phelps Hall and Parrish Auditorium was built

The Artist Series and Lecture Series led by Sandra Koros was established

1974

Department of Business Technology was created

1975

Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree approved

Gymnasium built

Schwarm Hall and the Harry T. Wilks Conference Center built

Athletic teams renamed from the Chiefs to the Harriers

The Harry T. Wilks Distinguished Lecture Series began featuring Mario Cuomo, former Governor and former presidential candidate

1999

Racial Legacies and Learning: How to Talk About Race was derived from a national town meeting of the same name that was presented via satellite at Miami University Hamilton by the Association of American Colleges and Universities in association with KTEH in San Jose, California

Michael J. Colligan History Project established

Department of Computer & Information Technology created

John E. Dolibois History Prize established

The Conservatory built

Bachelor of Integrative Studies degree program created
