The FAFSA

First things first. Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to find out if you qualify for educational funds.

What is an EFC?

An expected family contribution (EFC) is based primarily on your family's prior year income, combined with assets, family size, and number of family members enrolled in college. The lower your EFC, the higher your aid package could be.
