These undergraduate research opportunities are sponsored by Miami's Office for the Advancement of Research and Scholarship (OARS) and are facilitated by the Office of Research for Undergraduates (ORU).

(URA) Undergraduate Research Award 

This program encourages all enrolled full-time undergraduates to initiate and carry out small-scale, independent research or creative projects in any discipline.

(USS) Undergraduate Summer Scholars 

A nine-week summer program, USS enables sophomores and juniors to do research or other creative activities in the summer with the supervision of an individual faculty mentor.

(DUOS) Doctoral-Undergraduate Opportunity Scholarship

DUOS provides the opportunity for undergraduates to work with and learn from graduate students while conducting research under the supervision of a faculty member.

(HawksNest) Crowdfunding for Undergraduate Research Projects 

HawksNest crowdfunding platform invites alumni, family, and friends of the university to directly support the research and scholarship of Miami University students, faculty, and staff.

RedHawk Ventures - Student-led venture capital fund, supporting Miami University student and alumni founded startups 

We provide advisory services and funding to grow young businesses from the earliest stages of idea generation onward. Members of Redhawk Ventures attain practical knowledge of the funding process through establishing funding criteria and actual allocation of capital in the range of $1,000-$25,000. Affiliated with the Page Center for Entrepreneurship at Miami University's Farmer School of Business
