Mutually beneficial campus-community partnerships are powerful tools for improving learning and service experiences and outcomes. Consistent with our Guiding Principles, the Office of Community Engagement and Service (OCES) is committed to brokering effective engagements.
OCES has more than 125 community agency partners. If you are interested in pursuing a service experience with one of our partners for your class, please contact Jessie Weasner to schedule a Service-Learning planning meeting.
Finding and Tracking Community Opportunities
OCES facilitates student volunteering through NobleHour, an online platform introduced during the 2012-2013 academic year. Once students create an account they can search for opportunities by location and interest area. In order to qualify for the President's Volunteer Service Award students must track their service using NobleHour. Faculty and staff members are welcome to create NobleHour accounts as well. OCES envisions a community learning and serving as one.
