Event Planning Guidelines
Services are available from various departments for on-campus events including: Physical Facilities Department (PFD) for A-Frames, electrical/tent permits, and equipment (trash cans, tables, and chairs); Outdoor Pursuit for canopies and tents; Print Center for table tents, banners, and flyers; and Carillon Catering for brunches, dinners, or other special food requests.
Event planning resources include the event planning checklist, co-sponsorship agreement, marketing checklist, budget worksheet, and information about assessment and evaluation of events.
Event planning policies include policies for dances, event registration, contracts, and raffles/games of chance.
Student organizations must contact the City of Oxford staff to coordinate off-campus events regarding right-of-way permits and and reserving public parks. Groups traveling to an off-campus event will need to fill in the off-campus travel form. Student organizations can also rent vehicles through Enterprise.
