Miami has deferred recruitment, which means the fraternity and sorority registration process doesn't start until Spring semester. This gives students a chance to get involved and adjusted to campus before joining a fraternity or sorority.
Miami University Oxford is a residential campus, with nearly all first- and second-year students living in residence halls. These halls represent various Living Learning Communities (LLCs), which provide an opportunity for students to live and learn with others who share their interests.
