On-Campus Counseling Resources for Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity

The Miami University Student Counseling Service (SCS) has qualified and affirming therapists to talk to about issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity. We provide a confidential place to assist students in questioning, developing, and/or integrating their identities. Therapists can also assist students struggling with relationship and dating concerns, spirituality, family issues, building community, and accessing other resources. SCS offers services to assist transgender students in accessing local physicians who can provide hormone therapy to aid in transitioning. Learn more at LGBTQ* Services at the Counseling Center.

Off-Campus & Private Practitioner Counseling Resources

It is important to note that the Office of Diversity Affairs and LGBTQ* Services do not recommend any specific private practitioner. If you are looking for a referral to a specific private practice provider please visit the Student Counseling Services or call them at 513.529.4634 for more assistance. Additionally, we encourage you to check with the individual practitioner about the services they offer, availability to see new clients, office hours, and insurance and/or payment options.
