A Note for Transfer Students

If you are transferring to Miami University Oxford Campus for the Spring Semester, you are welcome to participate in Men’s or Women’s Recruitment as long as you meet these two requirements:

  • You must have completed 12 credit hours of classes at another college or university.
  • You must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
  • You must attend an IFC Kick-Off Session or Go Greek 101 Session.
  • You must meet membership requirements outlined in the Miami University Student Handbook

Registration for recruitment occurs during the fall semester. The deadline for registration is typically in early January. While you may register for Recruitment before you receive your university generated Miami ID, you should have that information by the deadline in January.

Once you have registered, you must submit a transcript from your current institution, in order for the Cliff Alexander Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life to verify that you have met the above requirements. Please submit transcripts to Elissa Christmas, christe@miamioh.edu.
