Arrival and Parking

Planning Your Visit

Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio is located in southwest Ohio approximately one hour from Cincinnati or Dayton. Miami’s visitor page offers detailed information regarding directions, travel options, off-campus accommodations, and even local restaurants, churches, and parking. 

Arriving at Miami

When you arrive on campus, you can pick up your student ID card (which functions as your residence hall and residence hall room key) between 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in the Campus Avenue Building, room 034. Once you are settled into your living space, make your way to the Armstrong Student Center (550 East Spring Street) where the program will begin.

Parking

Please print a copy of the parking pass that will be emailed to you in your confirmation email and bring it with you to use while attending August orientation. If you are unable to print the parking pass, we will have copies of the printed parking pass available at August orientation check-in. The August orientation parking pass is the equivalent to a red permit, which will enable you to park in any lot or legal parking space on campus (i.e. no yellow curbs). If you choose to park in one of Miami’s parking garages, you will be required to pay the hourly parking fees ($1.00 for the first hour and $0.50/hour thereafter, with a maximum of $10). If you choose to park in a metered parking space, you will need to feed the meter throughout the day.View Parking and Transportation Services for more information, including a map of available parking.
