Orientation Fees

We're excited to have you join us for Summer orientation! Orientation is an experience you can only have in-person, and we're proud of the program we've created for new students and families. Our program and staff are nationally recognized and we look forward to welcoming you to the Class of 2021!

Nearly all costs for orientation are already included in student tuition & fees. Residence hall accommodations are charged separately for each new student and family member - though we expect all new students to stay in our residence hall accommodations for the one overnight of orientation (students are automatically charged a housing fee for one night).  Guests may select on-campus accommodations in our orientation guest residence hall during the orientation registration process.

Meals (per person): $30.00

Housing (per person): $33.50/night

Orientation meal and housing fees are generated by the Orientation Registration System when a student registers for orientation, and billed to the student’s Bursar account by early July, 2017.  This means that orientation charges will appear on the student’s tuition bill, and allows any available student financial aid to cover costs for orientation.  Please note:  it is not possible to pay orientation fees at orientation.  If students/family members would like to pay for the orientation housing and fee before the Bursar bill is received, you may do so by logging in to myMiami and submitting an electronic payment.

If you have questions about orientation fees or refunds, call the Office of Orientation and Transition Programs at (513) 529-9771.
