What is Welcome Week, you ask? It's 12 days of more than 100 events that will help you meet new people, connect with campus resources, learn your way around, prepare for your first semester, and have a great time!
Welcome Week 2016 will begin on Thursday, August 25 (move-in day for first-year students) and continue through Monday, September 5. With more than 100 programs sponsored by 40+ campus departments, Welcome Week has something for everyone! Many of the programs over that first weekend (Thursday, August 25 - Sunday, August 28) are required for the whole first-year class, so please plan to attend. New students will receive instructions from resident assistants (RAs) or via email (particularly for commuter students) regarding events that all students are expected to attend.
Welcome Week programming will help you connect with other new students, staff, faculty, Miami, and the Oxford community; feel more comfortable navigating the physical space of campus; try new things; and have fun! First-year students are expected to attend Welcome Week events, particularly those from Thursday, August 25 (move-in day) through Sunday, August 28 (the day before fall classes begin).
Please review our Orientation and Welcome Week guide from your desktop or download our the Miami University Events app to view complete details about Welcome Week, including our full schedule of events!
The 2016 Welcome Week calendar will be available on this website and in the mobile app in mid-August 2016.
