EDT 110: Study Strategies for College Success

This two credit hour course encourages students to develop an awareness of their thought processes, study behaviors and learning strategies. Topics for the course include metacognition, time management, test taking anxiety and strategies, writing, problem solving and decision-making, critical thinking, and annotation.

To register for EDT 110, students must meet with a Learning Specialist to determine if the course is appropriate for their situation. Students who would benefit from the course often state "I never had to really study in high school" or "I never developed good study skills." EDT 110 requires attendance, participation, reading, and the completion of assignments. The course is graded.

Class begins the second week of classes (the first week of classes is reserved for study times and getting acclimated to your class schedule). Class meets on the third floor of the Shriver Center. To meet with a Learning Specialist and discuss registering for EDT 110, please call 513-529-8741.
