Tutoring Policies

Generally, tutoring requires students to be active partners in their learning

  • We require that students come to appointments prepared to discuss problems from their classes
  • A tutor will not directly help students with course assignments, as this would be an academic integrity violation.  The tutor can guide a student through the process of an assignment and support the student on the concepts required for the assignment.
  • In addition, we require that students commit to attending their tutoring appointments
    • If you need to miss an appointment, you may cancel online via Tutortrac. You may contact the Tutoring Center front desk at 513-529-8760 if you are unable to cancel your appointment.
    • Missed appointments are subject to a $15 fee.
    • Student who miss or cancel more than 3 appointments in a semester may have all remaining appointments canceled without notice and may be unable to schedule future appointments.
