Campus Accessibility

All of Miami University's academic and administrative buildings and programs are accessible, and our accessible campus map shows entrances and curb cuts to help navigate campus. However, access concerns may still exist due to the age of some of the buildings. With new construction and many renovations being planned, campus access will continue to improve over the next decade. Any access concerns can be reported be filling out SDS Access Barrier Form online.

There are a variety of accessible housing options on the Oxford campus as well. For more information about accessible residence hall facilities, please contact the Director of SDS and/or the Office of Student Housing and Meal Plan Services at 513-529-5000.

Also, because Miami University's campus is located in the rolling hills of Southwest Ohio, there may be some challenges posed to individuals who have mobility difficulties or use manual wheelchairs. SDS will work with anyone having difficulties to ensure the most accessible schedules and paths to class or work. For more information, please contact the Director of ODR.

With regard for parking on campus, individuals are welcome to park on campus with their state issued disability placard. The placard must be displayed in conjunction with a current Miami University parking pass. For more information about campus parking options, please contact the Parking and Transportation Office at 513-529-8535. For more information about obtaining a state issued disability placard, please contact the Bureau of Motor Vehicles for your state of residence.
