Each August prior to the start of the fall semester, the Scholar Leaders participate in a 3-day pre-semester retreat. Scholar Leaders move into Stoddard and Elliott early and participate in a variety of activities and experiences including service projects, team building activities, an overnight off-site at a local camp or retreat center, and more! One of the unique aspects of the Scholar Leader Retreat is that it's planned by alumni Scholar Leaders. The planning team meets regularly during the spring semester for the following August's Retreat to brainstorm ideas and coordinate logistics.

Success for the 2016 Scholar Leader Retreat looks like….

  1. Building trust
  2. At least 3 new friendships to ask for follow-up meals/coffee
  3. Feel engaged

The 2016 Scholar Leader Retreat was held August 25-27, 2016 at the Higher Ground Retreat and Conference Center.
