Nicole is the Assistant Director for Retail Operations at Goggin Ice Center. Nicole holds a Bachelor of General Studies from Youngstown State University (2009) and a Master of Science in Merchandising degree from North Dakota State University. She has been with Miami University since 2011

Director of the Gardner-Harvey Library (Middletown) & Principal Librarian

John began working at Miami in 2002.  He has been a member of the Regional Staff Forum Executive Council (and the earlier Middletown Staff Forum) since 2008. He holds an M.S. in library science from the University of Tennessee and a B.A. in history from Michigan State University.  John is a past president of the Academic Library Association of Ohio (ALAO) and current board member of OhioNET.  He has published and presented extensively on technologies in libraries, LMS-embedded librarianship, and makerspaces in libraries.

Director of Technology

Scott began working at Miami in 2001 and is currently the Senior Director of Technology for Engineering and an Instructor in Computer Science where he teaches networking and web programming courses.

Sr. Associate Registrar

Mandy Euen is the Senior Associate Registrar for Enrollment Services.  She graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology.  After a 10 year career as Registrar and Assistant Dean for Admissions at George Mason University Law School . she and her family relocated to her hometown of Brookville, Indiana where she worked as Assistant Vice President for Human Resources for a community bank.  In 2001 she joined the Office of the Registrar at Miami University and has worn many hats in that office over her 16 year career.  Mandy also serves as a member of the Public Policy Advisory Group for the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers.

Doug Hammerle

Director of Energy Systems

Doug Hammerle is the Director of Energy Systems within the Physical Facilities Department.  He  graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering  in 1985.  Mr. Hammerle came to Miami University in 1990 as a Project Engineer and attained his Professional Engineers license in 1995.  In 1997, Doug was promoted to Associate University Engineer and oversaw major infrastructure improvement projects  He has held his current position since 2012 and been instrumental in setting the vision for the Utility Master Plan with Geothermal being the cornerstone.  Doug has a passion for energy and is always striving to improve efficiencies and eliminate waste.

Ben Harris is the media services specialist for the Department of Music. He holds a BA in Violin from the University of Oklahoma and a MA in Music Composition from SUNY Buffalo. He is very interested in the intersection of music and technology. He has worked for Miami University since 2013.

Leslie Haxby McNeill

Asst Dir Student Wellness

Leslie Haxby McNeill is the Assistant Director in the Office of Student Wellness. 

She has a B.A. in History is from Northern Illinois University and a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Michigan State University.  Leslie's Miami University experience includes seven years in the Office of Residence Life as the Assistant Director for Staff and Operations and Director of Upperclass Programs. Since 2001, she has worked in the Office of Student Wellness, advising HAWKS Peer Health Educators (Health Advocates for Wellness Knowledge and Skills est. 2003) and has been an integral part of developing Miami’s comprehensive strategy to reduce high risk drinking as well as sexual and interpersonal violence prevention. She has been very involved in professional organizations at the state, regional, and national level including serving as President for the Ohio College Personnel Association. Leslie has received recognition for her work as an advisor to student groups including the 2016 BACCHUS Network National “Outstanding Advisor Award”.

Student Services Specialist

Sarah Kinley started working at Miami University in 2015. She is a Student Services Specialist for the Regional One Stop on the Hamilton Campus. Sarah received her BA in Black World Studies from Miami in 2012, and previously worked as a director of teen pregnancy prevention programming for a nonprofit organization.

Andor Kiss

Director Center Bioinformatics & Instructor

Dr. Kiss is the Director of the Center for Bioinformatics & Functional Genomics at Miami University.  He teaches courses in Epigenetics, Applied Comparative Physiology and Ichthyology.  He is a biologist interested in adaptation and evolution viewed from a vertically integrative perspective. Dr. Kiss’ primary function as Director is to ensure faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students are trained in the usage of contemporary instrumentation and bioinformatics analysis as it pertains to genomics technologies.  Current projects include how higher vertebrates have become freeze tolerant, the stability of globular proteins, functional genomics of seasonal acclimations. Applications of this knowledge is (a) understanding of evolutionary biology, (b) tissue and organ preservation, and (c) manned space flight.

Margo Kissell is a news and feature writer for University News and Communications. Before coming to Miami in 2013, she was a reporter for the Dayton Daily News.  Margo enjoys covering the campus, writing about cool research, interesting programs and faculty, staff and students.  She is a graduate of the Ohio State University.

Christy began working at Miami in 2010 and is currently the Senior Manager of Administrative Services and Assistant to the Senior Vice President in Enrollment Management and Student Success.

Chris Pirigyi

Chris Pirigyi

Financial Manager of Auxiliary Businesses

Christopher Pirigyi has 8 years of managerial and Lean involvement at Miami University. Chris started as General Manager of Dining Operations and held various positions until becoming the Financial Manager of Auxiliary Businesses. Mr. Pirigyi started his Lean journey with Miami in 2009 as a team leader. Further, Chris went on to complete the joint Lean certification offered through the University of Dayton Center of Excellence and Miami University. Mr. Pirigyi currently guides a 700 employee department at Miami University regarding Lean and engages in such activities as steering projects, facilitating lean strategies and embedding cultural acceptance. Finally, Chris has been instrumental in the development of an accredited Lean Certification program at Miami University and has also organized University wide Lean events.

Jennifer Sutton

Associate Director Research Compliance

Jennifer Sutton is a two-time graduate from Wright State University with a B.S. in Organizational Leadership (2005) and a Masters of Public Administration (2007). Jennifer started her career at Miami University in 2007 as a Research Associate in the Ohio’s Evaluation and Assessment Center for Mathematics and Science Education (now known as the Discovery Center for Evaluation, Research, & Professional Learning). In that role, Jennifer served as the Project Director on 13 state and national project evaluations with a focus on K-20 education. During this time, she served as the Center’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) compliance administrator. Jennifer joined the OARS staff in November 2011 with the Research Compliance Office. Jennifer is the Associate Director of Research Compliance. In this position, she facilitates compliance with federal regulations and university policies regarding animal and human subjects’ research, maintains records of protocol review processes, project compliance status, and conducts compliance training programs.

Kara Zirkle

Technical Specialist

Kara started working at Miami University in 2016. She is an Accessible Technology Specialist for IT Services. Kara has over 16 years experience working in the field of disabilities and over 10 years experience specifically within Higher Education.  Previous to Miami she worked for George Mason University as the IT Accessibility Coordinator where she built a procurement and web accessibility program.  Since working at Miami, Kara has been accepted into the Lean Certification program and is currently working to complete it by 2019.
