THE BICENTENNIAL STUDENT CENTER
Catalog of Naming Opportunities
Please note that with the exception of the BSC Building naming, all of these items refer to spaces in Phase I of the project. They do not include spaces in Culler that will be available in Phase II.
General Name Recognition
The Bicentennial Wall, $200
One of the goals of the Bicentennial Student Center is to be as inclusive of the Miami Family as possible. Thus, the lowest recognition is set at only $200 per name so that everyone can participate and have their name permanently included in the BSC. The name will appear in a graphic element somewhere in the building.
Slant Walk Tiles, $2,000
More visible recognition for an individual or a family (of individuals) is provided in the form of a tile in the “Slant Walk” running from the entrance nearest the Hub to the Bicentennial Rotunda. The tiles will be approximately 12 inches by 6 inches and can include a list of individuals or a family name.
Plaque Recognition, $10,000
Plaques approximately 18 inches by 12 inches will be used to commemorate gifts of $10,000. These plaques will be placed strategically throughout the building (in consultation with the donor) to reflect the generosity of an individual, family, or group.
The Bicentennial Rotunda, $20,000 (each of 200 stones)
The Rotunda is the symbolic center of the Bicentennial Student Center. At the heart of the Rotunda is a large circle (about the size of the Seal in the Hub) with a symbol in its center (probably an “M”). The circle will be surrounded by 200 arched stones approximately 2-3 square feet in size. This venue provides a special opportunity for individuals, families, and groups to have their gifts of $20,000 or more recognized in a special setting commemorating their gift, the Bicentennial and Miami’s history.
