Winter Term Lean Fair 2016

On January 12, 2016, the Miami University Lean Initiatives Office will be offering a Lean Fair at the Armstrong Student Center. The fair will be open to all Miami University employees, providing staff the opportunity to connect with peers while learning about Creativity, Innovation and Continuous Improvement utilizing Lean processes. The morning session will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue until 11:40 a.m. The second session will begin at 1 p.m. and will continue until 4 p.m. Registration for both sessions will begin approximately one half hour before the start of the session.

Each session will begin with a welcome and introduction by Dr. David Creamer. University divisions represented at the fair are Academic Affairs, Finance and Business Services, Enrollment Management and Student Success, University Advancement, and IT Services. Attendees will participate in a variety of courses and activities, have the opportunity to network with Lean team leaders, view completed Miami Lean projects and get hands on experience applying Lean in their own daily work and personal lives.

This is one of the more valuable university events of the year for employees, so please work with your supervisors and department heads to receive authorization to attend one of the sessions. Each session begins in Wilkes Theatre Room A. There will be a series of booths open from 8:30 am to 4 pm on the 2nd floor and 12 breakout sessions on the 3rd floor to choose from. Details of the breakout sessions can be found at

Those who participate in the breakout sessions will be entered into a drawing for great door prizes including a Miami University parking pass for 2016-17. Refreshments will also be provided. Please be sure to bring your Miami ID to the event.

If you have any questions, please contact Chris Pirigyi We look forward to seeing you there!
