Rhetoric and persuasion shape every aspect of our lives — from politics and education to personal relationships and entertainment. Through the analysis of historical and contemporary texts and the cultural contexts in which these texts circulate, this course introduces theories and principles of rhetoric and persuasion to teach students to identify and evaluate the rhetorics and persuasive texts that shape their lives and their cultures.
