GLG 416/516 Carbonate Depositional Systems (5)
Modern and ancient coral reefs, lagoons, seagrass beds, beaches, dunes, tidal flats, blue holes, paleosols, and sand shoals are examined and evaluated in the field and in discussions, lectures, and projects. This field course includes trips to rock units in the Midwest and a field trip to the Bahamas.
Prerequisite: two previous geoscience courses or permission of instructor.
