GLG 482/582 Contaminant Hydrogeology (4)
Introduces the theory of mass transport in groundwater and soil systems and examines sources, fate and cleanup of groundwater and soil contamination. Chemical reactions and their effects on transport will be examined for both inorganic and organic contaminants. Multiphase flow will also be investigated as will strategies for acquifer and soil remediation.
Prerequisite: GLG 408/508, MTH 151, 153, or 157.
