GLG 670 Geochemical Modeling (1-3; maximum 6)
Development and application of geochemical modeling tools to aid in interpretation of petrologic, major element, trace element, and isotopic data in geologic and environmental materials, for applications in a wide range of geoscience disciplines including areas such as igneous petrology, mineralogy, aqueous geochemistry, climate change and environmental forensics. Students will explore the fundamentals behind existing modeling programs and develop new modeling programs geared to specific student research interests. Prereqisite: permission of instructor.
