Gates-Abegglen Theatre, in the Center for Performing Arts

This is a traditional proscenium theatre, seating 355 patrons. It is comfortably equipped with a 35 line fly system, hydraulic pit lift and modest wing space. Our Mainstage Season is presented in the Gates Abegglen with typically three or four fully-mounted, faculty-directed productions per academic year. In the summer months, we usually mount two or three productions in the theatre as part of Miami University Summer Theatre (MUST).

Studio 88, in the Center for Performing Arts

This is a flexible “black box” theatre, seating 113 patrons. Many classes and workshops are held in Studio 88, and it is the home of the Second Stage Season. Hall Auditorium

A top-to-bottom renovation of the building, completed in 1992, replaced old equipment with state-of- the-art light and sound systems and created a beautiful, warm, acoustically precise venue with a new stage that is almost double the size of the old facility. Now with seating at 735 capacity, Hall Auditorium is the site for most of the Music Department’s major concerts, as well as many concerts produced and supported by the university’s Performing Arts Series. It currently houses the Performing Arts Series Office and the Philosophy Department.

Parking available in several lots on campus and along Campus Avenue. This venue is fully accessible. Please contact the Box Office 3 days in advance for assisted listening devices. No food, beverages, cameras or recording equipment allowed in the auditorium.
