Luxembourg Digital Innovation - International Internships and Insights

Program Overview

Luxembourg hosts the “Technoport,” a major startup incubator, and FinTech hub and co-working lab, where much of the country's digital startup activity is based. Luxembourg is a European home for Amazon as well as major global consulting firms (e.g., Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PWC). The program provides a portfolio of internship opportunities, from biotech to fintech to greentech, centered upon emerging technology and employing Miami University’s deep roots and relationships in Luxembourg.

Students also have the opportunity to experience Europe through supported “discovery tours” and independent weekend travel. However, this program is a better fit for students seeking an international professional experience rather than one focused on European travel.

More information about MUDEC, housing, travel, costs, etc., is available on the MUDEC website: https://miamioh.edu/global-initiatives/miami-in-luxembourg/

Internships

As a part of the Luxembourg Digital Innovation, students will complete full time internships and can work Monday through Friday lunch over the duration of the semester. Internship placements are coordinated through MUDEC staff, so work placements are guaranteed for accepted students. Students are responsible for communicating effectively with potential employers during interviews, and for being flexible on placements.
