Safety, sexual violence prevention receive federal support
With a three-year $300,000 federal grant and a two-year commitment with a national student affairs group, Miami University is greatly strengthening its prevention, education and response in areas of sexual and interpersonal violence (SIV).

Miami's Ohio Writing Project celebrates 40 years
The Ohio Writing Project at Miami works with teachers on teaching writing and provides students opportunities to create.Narwhals. Pufferfish. Toothpaste. Avocados. Ugly. Jump. When you give middle school students six words and five minutes to write a story, you never know what they're going to come up with.

This week's three included: 1) an update from the Strategic Planning Committee presentation at University Senate, 2) information about upcoming progress reports sessions on the One Campus Climate Survey recommendations and 3) Reminders about Tech Fee Proposal due dates, new University Events calendar system, request for staff/faculty to review university and religious calendars before planning events and to following the student attendance policies listed in the University's policy library.
