Scheduling Webex Meetings in Canvas

Before you can begin scheduling web conference meetings in Canvas with Webex, you will need to authorize your account and turn on the Virtual Meetings feature. Review the Getting Started with Webex in Canvas guide for instructions.

  1. Click the Cisco Webex link in your course sidebar menu. A list of any meetings you’ve scheduled will be displayed.
  2. Click the blue + New Meeting button. Settings for the meeting will be displayed.
  3. Click the blue Create Meeting button at the bottom of the page. The meeting settings box will close, and your new meeting(s) will now appear on the Meetings page.
  4. Enter a name for your meeting (or series of meetings). 
  5. Set a date and time for your meeting in the Meeting Date text box.
  6. Set the length of your meeting in the Duration text boxes. 
  7. Change the setting for the number of meetings if you'll need more than one in the Recurrence section. Once you select a different option than "No Repeat," more settings options will be displayed. 
  8. Click the blue Create Meeting button at the bottom of the page. The meeting settings box will close, and your new meeting(s) will now appear on the Meetings page.

NOTE: Once you're ready to start a meeting, simply return to this page, and click the green Host button to the right of its name.
