The Center for Career Exploration and Success (CCES) is committed to incorporating diverse voices through Onyx, the Equity and Access Student Organization Advisory Council. Council members provide inclusive student perspectives to help CCES make decisions in how we connect with, serve, and propel historically marginalized students into a lifetime of opportunity through the lens of equity and access.

Onyx Member Benefits

  • Opportunity to earn up to $500 for your organization if all requirements are fulfilled each semester

Onyx Member Mandatory Responsibilities

Board members commitments include, but are not limited to

  • Sharing insights and thoughts virtually by responding to short surveys
  • Supporting career development opportunities for their peers by identifying best practices in communication and promotion
  • Provide insight, feedback, and advice to CCES
  • Assist CCES with outreach efforts
  • Participate in Career Fairs/Career Center events
  • Identify unmet student needs and strategize methods for achievement
  • Maintain an up-to-date resume and profile on Handshake
