Jiee Zhong earned her Ph.D. in Economics from Texas A&M University in 2024 and is currently an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Farmer School of Business at Miami University. Specializing in education and environmental economics, she employs advanced causal inference methods to explore the impact of public policies and educational environments on human capital development and labor market outcomes. Her current research investigates the effects of grade retention and lead exposure on academic achievement, disciplinary incidents, and long-term labor market success. Passionate about teaching, she strives to foster an engaging, effective, and inclusive learning environment for all her students.
