ELIGIBILITY

  1. Course and Program Prerequisites Required: ACC 221 and ECO 201, 30 earned hours by May 2020 and a 2.60 GPA by December 2019. Please note that priority will be given to business majors and rising seniors for this program.  Students must be at least 18 years old by the program departure date. 
  2. Disciplinary Record Requirement: All applicants must submit a disciplinary waiver form.  Acceptance to a program will be based, in part, on a review of each student’s disciplinary records. The nature of the offense, date of the offense, and disciplinary status will be considered. Students on disciplinary probation may not participate in a Farmer School of Business winter workshop.  Please see the FSB Study Abroad Eligibility Policy.

HOW TO APPLY

Apply on-line at Miami Education Abroad website

  • Search by the program name.

A Completed Application Is:

  • A disciplinary waiver form signed electronically on-line.
  • All required pre-decisions electronic signature forms and tasks must be completed
  • An application submitted online.

Application Deadline:

  • Priority round due October 7, 2019. All completed applications will be considered.
  • Second round applications begins subsequently with rolling acceptance until January 1 or until the program fills (whichever comes first)
  • Due to the popularity of this program and the limited capacity, applying during the priority round is highly recommend to ensure full consideration

Notification Date:

  • Priority Round: Students who complete their application before the priority deadline will receive notification by October 24, 2019.
  • Second Round: rolling notification will be sent out by e-mail within two to three weeks of student's application being completed. 

Deposits & Payments (For accepted students):

  • The non-refundable deposit for this program is $2,000 due within two weeks of acceptance.
  • The remaining balance must be paid by February 15, 2020. **NOTE:Remaining balance is non-refundable after February 15, 2020. The entire program fee must be paid by February 15, 2020, or students will be dropped from the program.
  • Academic tuition and fees will be billed to your next summer bursar bill.
