The Miami University Confucius Institute hosts the annual Chinese Festival every September to celebrate Global Confucius Institute Day. The festivities start at Cook Field, featuring martial arts and kite flying competitions for local schools and community members, followed by activities and performances in Uptown Park.

Participants of the celebration include students from local schools, Miami and Oxford community members, and Miami University students. All are invited to participate in the Chinese Festival to learn more about Chinese culture and language.
