Why Choose Luxembourg?

Studying at Miami University's campus in Luxembourg has been a tradition for almost 50 years! Each semester, over 100 students study in Luxembourg and it remains Miami's most popular study abroad program. These are just a few of the reasons studying in Luxembourg is a smart choice academically:

  • Stay on track to graduation by fulfilling Global Miami Plan requirements and/or credits for your major/minor.
  • Business, Political Science, Architecture, History, and Philosophy majors/minors will find several major/minor courses in the Luxembourg curriculum (refer to the tabs below).
  • Independent studies are great options for students whose majors/minors aren't represented in the Luxembourg curriculum - oftentimes, independent studies can count as 1-4 credit hours toward your major/minor.
  • You'll be immersed in an enriching, Europe-focused curriculum, which will brought to life as you travel throughout Europe on the weekends and during your study tours.
  • No need to transfer credits! Earning credits in Luxembourg is just like earning credits in Oxford, Hamilton, and Middletown, and you register for courses the same way.
  • We put you first! You are required to schedule an advising meeting with a Luxembourg advisor where you'll get personalized attention and assistance with course selection. Additionally, we host a Registration Info Session the week before you register for classes so there are no surprises and we can answer any last minute questions you may have.
