Living On and Off Campus

Dates for move in and out and timing have been adjusted to accommodate the changes in the academic calendar. For more detail, see below.

Move In

To help maintain physical distancing, we will have a staggered move-in schedule. You will be assigned a specific move-in day and time. New students will be assigned a day and time between August 10 and August 14, and returning students will be assigned to a day and time between August 12 and August 16.

Your assigned move-in day and time will be emailed to you with your housing assignment letter, which you should receive no later than July 15. The assignment letter will include instructions for students who are unable to arrive on their assigned date.

Move Out

While the last day of classes is November 20, 2020 (final exams are December 2-8), to help maintain physical distancing during move-out, the halls and apartments will close on November 25th, 2020.

Living On Campus

At the first floor meeting after you return to campus, your RA will provide you with information about health measures you will be expected to take on your floor and in your building, guidelines for using common spaces, and community expectations regarding visitors.

Building a sense of community in the halls is still a priority, especially for new students, so while you will need to take precautions to help keep your floor healthy, we will continue to offer engaging programs in the halls to help you have a strong, fun, and meaningful living experience.

Living Off Campus

Be in direct contact with your landlord about accessing your rental property that includes move-in dates and other specific details. Students living off campus are expected to follow CDC and State of Ohio guidelines regarding social gatherings at your homes and apartments to help keep our communities as healthy and safe as possible.

Facial coverings should be worn when shopping or walking around your local communities. It is expected that you follow the local mandates and ordinances of your community.

If you are unable to return to campus prior to the beginning of the Fall semester on August 17 for any reason (travel, housing, etc.), you should notify your instructors as soon as possible to discuss the situation.
