Your Miami Benefits During the Current Pandemic

Please see Miami University's Healthy Together website for all university announcements, updates, and resources.

Listed below are options for access to your healthcare.

Your Personal Healthcare Provider(s)

Contacting your personal healthcare or mental healthcare provider is important in coordinating your care. When reaching a provider during this period of heightened concern, we wanted to offer alternative healthcare access points to ensure you and your family are aware of additional options for healthcare services.

Employees who experience symptoms of fever, chills or cough, or who have concerns about the flu or other viral conditions, including Coronavirus, should call their primary care physician first for assistance.

TriHealth Priority Care-Urgent Care at PCP Office Visit Cost

TriHealth Priority Care is on this list of options because Miami employees may not be aware that these TriHealth facilities look and operate like an urgent care but cost less for the employee.

TriHealth Priority Care locations are ideal choices for employees with medical issues that need to be seen promptly but don’t rise to the level of an emergency room visit. A visit to “Priority Care” can be scheduled online at most locations and when you present your Anthem card, the co-pay (or office visit charge) is the same as for a PCP, even if labs and/or x-rays are taken during your visit.

LiveHealth Online

Miami employees (spouses and dependents) covered by the Miami health plan have telehealth options through Anthem.com ("Sydney" is the Anthem app through Google Play for Apple and Android phones). Through March 31, 2021, the copay and HDHP responsibility for telehealth visits (PCP, pediatrician, and mental health providers) are waived.

Using LiveHealth Online, you can have a private and secure video visit with a board-certified doctor or licensed therapist on your smartphone, tablet, or computer with a webcam. It’s an easy way to get the care you need at home or on the go. When your own doctor isn’t available, use LiveHealth Online 24/7 if you have pinkeye, a cold, the flu, a fever, allergies, a sinus infection, or other common health condition. A doctor can assess your condition, provide a treatment plan and even send a prescription to your pharmacy if it’s needed.

Anthem’s LiveHealth Online mental health services are different from our EAP through Impact Solutions in the following ways:

  • Impact Solutions is available at no cost to all full-time and part-time employees as well as any family member residing within the household.
  • Impact Solutions offers telephonic and in-person counseling
  • Employees can use Impact Solutions without being a participant on Miami's health plan.

If you are a participant of the health plan and you’re feeling anxious or having trouble coping on your own and need some support, you can have a video visit with a therapist using LiveHealth Online. In general, appointments can be made in four days or less through livehealthonline.com or by phone.

If you haven’t used this service before you can sign up by visiting www.livehealthonline.com or by downloading the LiveHealth Online app to your mobile device. Follow these steps to get set up:
