Bill joined Miami’s Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness in March 2019 after previously working in institutional research and effectiveness at Ball State University, Bowling Green State University, Georgia Southern University, and Kent State University. He has also served as a visiting scholar at the University of Michigan and at Shandong University in China. In addition to leadership of the OIRE, Bill’s responsibilities include leadership and support for academic program review, administrative program review within Academic Affairs, reporting of consumer information for families and employees, reporting of information for the National Council of State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA), and the Faculty 180 system. He will assume responsibility for Higher Learning Commission accreditation and student learning outcomes assessment beginning in the fall semester of 2019. Bill earned his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration, M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Personnel, and B.S.in Ed. in Secondary Education, all from Kent State University. Bill has served as past president, board of directors member, and national conference chair for the Association for Institutional Research, was a founding board of directors member and past president of the Association for Higher Education Effectiveness, and is past president of the Ohio Association for Institutional Research and Planning.

Michael joined Miami’s Office of Institutional Research in August 2017 after working as an Institutional Research Analysis Specialist at Clark State Community College. At Miami, he assists with data collection and analysis of institutional surveys and assessments, provides institutional data for college guidebooks and routine reporting, and fulfills ad hoc requests from various offices across the University. Prior to these positions, Michael earned his Master’s in Sociology and a graduate certificate in Institutional Research from Ball State University and his Bachelor’s in Sociology from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is a member of the North East Association for Institutional Research (NEAIR) and the Ohio Association for Institutional Research and Planning (OAIRP).

Kimberly joined Miami’s Office of Institutional Research in October 2018 after working as a Statistical Data Analyst at the University of South Florida – St. Petersburg for three years (2015 – 2018), and as an Institutional Research Analyst at Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, OH for 17 years (1998 – 2015). At Miami, she assists with data collection and analysis of institutional surveys and assessments, provides institutional data for college guidebooks and routine reporting, and fulfills ad hoc requests from various offices across the University. Prior to these positions, Kimberly earned her Master’s in Social Sciences and Bachelor’s in Psychology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She has also completed doctoral coursework in Sociology/Women’s Studies at The Union Institute and University. She is a member of the Association for Institutional Research (AIR) and the Ohio Association for Institutional Research and Planning (OAIRP).
