Welcome to Miami Regionals! As part of your orientation process, new students attend a one-on-one advising meeting with one of our professional advisors to discuss your major and classes you will take in your first semester. 

New incoming first-year students attend your advising meeting during your on-campus Orientation, which you schedule after you complete your online Orientation found in the New Student Checklist on myMiami. In this session, you'll discuss your major, your placement testing, the classes you will take, and the registration process. We'll answer your questions and help you get connected with other Regional offices and resources. Most importantly, we'll get to know you and you'll get to meet an advisor who will help you make that transition into your first semester at Miami Regionals. 

Transfer and E-Campus students self-schedule and attend a remote advising appointment. You'll get the email to self-schedule an advising appointment within three business days of completing your online Orientation. If you have not received an email from regadvising@miamiOH.edu within three business days, please call 513-785-3204 or email ROSA@miamiOH.edu.  When you self-schedule your orientation advising appointment using the link in your email, you'll receive a confirmation email with a link to your advisor's personal Zoom room to attend the appointment. You'll also receive a reminder email sent 24 hours before the appointment. Five minutes before your scheduled appointment: 

• Log into miamioh.zoom.us with your Miami credentials
• Click the link in the email
• When you click the link, it will automatically open the meeting window
• You may need to wait for your advisor to start the meeting
• If you have trouble connecting, email the advisor or call 513-727-3440

• Be on time, ready to discuss your academic interests
• Come prepared with questions about your major requirements, classes and registration
