Transferring credit from other colleges/universities

Transfer students from other colleges and universities are invited to apply for admission to both the AAS and BSCJ in criminal justice.  After you submit your admission application, an analysis of your prior coursework will occur and credits toward both the general education program and criminal justice degree will be transferred, per university and department policy.

We are committed to making your transfer as smooth as possible and award credit for criminal justice courses completed at other institutions when they meet course learning objectives and standards.

Sinclair Community College Agreement

If you are a student in the law enforcement concentration of the AAS in criminal justice from Sinclair Community College, an articulation agreement between Miami University and Sinclair Community College enables a smooth transition from the AAS to BSCJ without loss of any credit, provided the plan in the agreement is followed.
