Students completing the Associate of Arts with an English pathway earn 64 credit hours that transfer to Miami University. Students completing the Ohio Transfer Module through their General Education credits will have completed Miami Plan Foundation I, II, III, IV, IV, and the Miami Plan Thematic Sequence.

At Miami University, transfer students will still need to complete: Intercultural Perspectives (3 credits), Experiential Learning (o credits), and Capstone (3 credits). These credits can be earned through completion of the major in English Studies. They will need to complete a total of 60 hours to reach the 124 required for the BA depending on what they have earned at Lorain County Community College.

Table 3 shows how a student completes the English Studies major having completed 12 of the required 36 credit hours through their coursework at Lorain Community College. The table is merely a guide; student choices while at Lorain Community College may require changes to how the student completes the degree at Miami University. In addition to the courses listed here, students will be expected to complete the required hours for graduation with a baccalaureate degree. Students are expected to meet with an advisor to discuss course selection and planning.
