Kyle is the Writing Specialist on the Hamilton Campus. He started at Miami University in Aeronautics, went to Ohio State in Aeronautical Engineering, then served two years in the United States Army before changing his major to English Education.  He graduated from Ohio University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in English Education, and from Wright State University in 1992 with a Master of Arts in English. Kyle taught high school English for over 22 years while also serving as an adjunct at various colleges. He then took a position at UC Clermont for four years as their English Instructional Specialist, Adjunct English Instructor, and student newspaper faculty advisor.  Kyle has been the Writing Specialist at Miami University Hamilton since April, 2018, and also teaches Blended English and Writing Studio.  In his free time he enjoys working out and anything related to the outdoors: trail running, camping, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, etc.  He’s also an avid musician and plays drums in several jazz/fusion bands, and enjoys reading (mostly non-fiction) whenever a spare minute is available!
