Ed McCoy, a 1995 graduate from Miami with a master’s in education and was a Lady Harriers basketball coach from 1999 to 2005. Ed’s life has been marked by athletic achievement, starting during his collegiate years as a pitcher and quarterback for Bowling Green State University. Prior to his time at Miami, Ed coached for 13 years at New Miami High School in various capacities and sports, even taking the baseball team to the state final four. Following a short stint as the New Miami High School girls basketball coach, Ed assumed the same position at Miami University Hamilton, a position he held for 6 years. During his time at Miami Hamilton, he led the lady Harriers to the Conference Championship twice (winning once), as well as a League Championship for the 2004-2005 academic year. In addition to his collegiate and coaching success, Ed is a very accomplished golfer, having won multiple senior tournaments in the local area.
