Welcome to Handshake

The Career Services & Professional Development is using a new platform called Handshake. Handshake uses cutting edge technology to help you connect with employers for co-ops, internships and jobs including event information, campus interviews, and it even allows you to schedule appointments with a Career Advisor.

Unpaid Internships: Wage and Hour Division (WHD) Federal Guidelines

  • Unpaid internships in the public sector and for non-profit charitable organizations, where the intern volunteers without expectation of compensation, are generally permissible if they meet six federal guidelines. WHD is reviewing the need for additional guidance on internships in the public and non-profit sectors.
