Jens Mueller

Jens Mueller, Ph.D.

Jens has 15+ years of experience in multi-language software development for numerical engineering analysis. Application areas of these tools are as diverse as the simulation of micro-electro-mechanical systems to cardiovascular flow. Specifically, he has worked on finite element mesh adaptation procedures and their parallelization for the use on high-performance computing platforms. He joined the Research Computing group in 2008 from SCOREC at RPI. Jens received his Ph.D. in MEMS Engineering from Freiburg University/Germany.

Jon Patton

Jon Patton, Ph.D.

64A Upham Hall

A mathematician by training, Jon has been working with Miami University since 1989 and has extensive experience with simulation and statistical forecasting. Jon also holds a visiting professor position with the decision sciences and computer science departments and has taught several courses in these departments over the years. Jon has a Ph.D. in mathematics from Purdue University.

Greg Reese

Greg Reese, Ph.D.

63 Upham Hall

Greg has been working with the group since 2005 and has over 20 years of experience in scientific programming and algorithm development in industry and at various research laboratories. He has extensive experience in digital image processing, human vision, and pattern recognition and has worked on software for several NASA projects, written three general-purpose image processing suites, and created a commercial molecular biology program for the PC. He is the author of C++ Standard Library Tips and co-author of an industry-wide, medical, electronic data standard. Greg has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Irvine.
