Conferences

Miami students are encouraged to work with their faculty mentor to submit conference abstracts. The ORU also assists students in identifying and submitting to various disciplinary meetings and conferences. Miami undergraduate researchers frequently present at these conferences.

NCUR National Council on Undergraduate Research
Student Abstract Submission Deadline December 2, 2016
University of Memphis April 6-7, 2017 will host the next NCUR conference which creates a unique environment for the celebration and promotion of undergraduate student achievement, provides models of exemplary research and scholarship, and helps to improve the state of undergraduate education. This gathering of young scholars welcomes presenters from all institutions of higher learning and from all corners of the academic curriculum.

OUPRC Ohio Undergraduate Psychology Research Conference (April 16 2016)
Student abstract Submission Deadline April 8, 2016 This conference is the presentation venue for the Ohio Undergraduate Psychology Research Consortium, a network of institutions that actively promote and support social science research by undergraduate students. The conference is funded in part through the generous contributions by these member institutions in the form of consortium dues. If you are a faculty advisor, we would encourage and appreciate your institutional enrollment in the consortium. Miami University hosted this conference in 2013 - We were honored to have as keynote speaker Dr. Robert Bjork from UCLA! He presented an excellent and informative address titled: “Managing One’s Own Learning: Beliefs, Techniques, and Illusions.
