What to Bring

Please bring the following items with you to your orientation session:

  • Printed parking pass (will be emailed to students and guests prior to their orientation session; students will receive the parking pass at their Miami email account)
  • Casual clothing - note that student groups will sit on the ground outside unless it is raining
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Math and foreign language placement test results (especially if you've taken the tests less than one week prior to your orientation date)
  • Umbrella or rain jacket (we hope these won't be needed, but check the Oxford forecast - zip code 45056)
  • Alarm clock (wake-up service is not available, and Day 2 begins at 7am)
  • Pillow and blanket  (residence hall rooms do include linens, pillow and a blanket but the room may get too cool for your comfort)
  • Flip-flops (for the shower)
  • Toiletries
  • Jacket or sweater (rooms used for orientation are air-conditioned and may get too cool for your comfort) 

For your orientation stay, on-campus residence hall rooms include:

  • Bed/desk/chair/dresser/closet for each occupant
  • Air-conditioning
  • Bed linens and blanket
  • Pillow
  • Towel and washcloth
