Parents and Families

All orientation programs for first-year and transfer students include components for parents, family, and guests. Each of our orientation programs has sessions that are pertinent and relevant to ensuring each student's successful transition to Miami University.

The Office of Orientation and Transition Programs works closely with the Office of Parent & Family Programs to engage all parents and families in our orientation programs. For details about specific orientation programs for first year students, please visit our website for first year students. If your student is transferring to Miami University, please visit our transfer student page for important orientation information.

If you have questions about your student's orientation or transition experience at Miami University, please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Orientation and Transition Programs and/or the Office of Parent & Family Programs.
