Eligibility: Transfer and Change of Campus who are new to the Miami University Oxford campus.
Program Cost: There is no registration fee for Transfer. Spark. Thrive. Students are responsible for the early arrival housing fee of $44/night on Friday, August 25 (1 night). The early-arrival housing fee will be billed to the student's Bursar account. Students will be on their own for meals, but some snacks will be provided.

Transfer. Spark. Thrive. is a pre-semester program specifically designed for new Miami transfer and change of campus students. The program will help you adjust to life at Miami and in Oxford, connect with other new transfer/change of campus students, and overall start your Miami experience strong. You'll have an opportunity to learn about campus involvement and career development, familiarize yourself with the layout of campus and the location of your classes, and have your questions answered. Since the program will allow you to move in early, you'll also be able to take advantage of the fun and engaging Welcome Weekend programming happening throughout the weekend with your new Miami connections.
As a result of participating in this Miami Bound program, new transfer and change of campus students will:
- Explore how to make the most of their Miami experience by learning about various resources to support their success.
- Connect with other new students and begin to develop their Miami community.
- Engage with student leaders through both formal programming and informal interactions.
- Set goals for their Miami experience.
