Details: A student reported to the Miami University Police Department that at approximately 1:40a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017, she saw a person entering MacCracken Market in MacCracken Hall through a broken window. Miami police arrived and found a door ajar, but no suspect inside. Broken glass and misplaced items were found, but it appeared nothing was stolen. No injuries were reported. McCullough Hyde Memorial Hospital staff notified Miami University Police on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 3:50 a.m. of a sexual assault reported to them by a female student. Hospital staff said the female student related that she was sexually assaulted somewhere on the Oxford campus. Details: A male student reported to the Oxford Police that during the overnight hours of Sunday, January 15 to Monday, January 16, 2017, an unknown person or persons forced entry into a multi-resident building in the 100 block of East Withrow Street. At this point in the investigation it appears that the suspect(s) only entered into one unoccupied bedroom. It is unknown if any items are missing from the bedroom. No injuries were reported.

Details: A female student reported to the Miami University Police that between the hours of 1:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016, someone opened her first floor residence hall window at Minnich Hall and disturbed items within reach of her window while she was inside. Further investigation reveals that the window was incapable of being opened enough to allow the passage of an entire person. Nothing was taken from the room and no injuries were reported.

Details: Oxford police are investigating a report of two male students being shot during an apparent robbery in a home in the 200 block of N. Campus Ave. at about 7:44 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4. The victims report two other males, one white, one black with shoulder-length dreadlocks, shot them. It is unknown in which direction the assailants left the scene.
Victims are being treated at local hospitals.
